Dr. Lingerfeldt majored in psychology for her undergraduate, Master’s and Doctorate degrees and topped off her formal education with a post-doc in psychopharmacology from Texas A&M. She has worked with hundreds of patients in many diverse settings, including trauma, inpatient psychiatric, outpatient clinic, and in private practice. With her mother as co-author, Dr. Lingerfeldt wrote and had published a book about developing ethical decision-making in children.
Dr. Lingerfeldt has been featured on radio and television as an expert speaker on such areas as development and ethical decision making. She also executive produced DVD/curriculum programs on parenting and anger management. Dr. Lingerfeldt has led workshops on team building, parenting, relationships, assessment, and anger management. In addition, she has given formal presentations on neuropsychology, assessment, learning theory, sports concussion, and development.
Dr. Lingerfeldt has collaborated on university research activities regarding topics such as Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy (CTE), and sports concussion.
